Several Displaced Following Rowhome Fire In Montgomery County

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Crews battled a rowhome fire in Norristown, Montgomery County late Tuesday morning.

Chopper 3 was over the scene of the blaze on W. Elm and Cherry Streets.

Authorities say neighboring homes were evacuated and extra fire trucks were requested to battle the blaze.

Officials say the fire was placed under control just after 11 a.m.  The Red Cross has been called for assistance.

Authorities say 6-8 adults have been displaced as a result of the fire.

The blaze is under investigation.
