Mark Wahlberg During Festival Of Families: 'Go Eagles'

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Actor Mark Wahlberg was selected to host the Festival of Families during the Papal Visit to Philadelphia this weekend. During the event, Wahlberg had the opportunity to introduce former Eagles RB Herb Lusk.

Now a pastor, Lusk had the opportunity to deliver a scripture reading while the Pope sat on the stage behind him.

While introducing Lusk, Wahlberg catered to the crowd and delivered a quick 'Go Eagles,' chant. The moment speaks volume as Wahlberg is a devoted Patriots fans.

Despite his connection to New England, remember, he did also portray former Eagle Vince Papale in the movie 'Invincible.' After Jim Gaffigan took an opportunity to make fun of Philadelphia sports fans on Saturday, Wahlberg was smart to get on their good side.
