Weather: Another Great Day, What About The Weekend?

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's going to be another lovely day in Philadelphia. Much like yesterday, the sun will shine brightly, and it will stay warm with highs around 80 degrees. The forecast will then decline a bit each day through the weekend, not exactly what Pope-goers want to hear. However, it won't be the worst of weekends by any stretch.

Friday sun will give way to some clouds by the afternoon, with highs in the mid 70s. Saturday will also feature some clouds with a breeze picking up as well, though it will likely stay dry. Sunday has been the day in question all week, but as of this morning the trends have been more on the positive side.

There is a large area of low pressure to the south just off the coast of Georgia, but a large area of high pressure to our north may suppress the storm's northward movement just enough to eek out dry conditions on Sunday. It is likely to be a cool and breezy day dominated by clouds, with the slight chance of a shower later in the day. This has been a continuously evolving forecast, and will likely continue to over the next few days.
