Jockeys Injured When Horses Collide During Race

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Authorities say a couple of jockeys were injured after two horses ran into each other during a race Wednesday afternoon at Delaware Park Race Track.

Officials say two horses collided, throwing both jockeys to the ground.

The 19-year-old jockey was treated for upper and lower extremity injuries, and the 37-year-old jockey was treated on the scene for a possible head injury, authorities say.

Both are in stable condition.

Eyewitness News is told the horses are okay.
