Power Problems Halting SEPTA Train Service To Philadelphia International Airport

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The train to the plane has been grounded.

SEPTA says service on the Airport Line between downtown Philadelphia and Philadelphia International Airport is suspended Wednesday morning due to overhead power line problems.

Service on two other regional rail lines has been restored with some modifications after previous suspensions due to power line issues.

The Media/Elwyn Line is operating only between Elwyn Stations and 49th Street. Downtown-bound commuters are being transfers to trolleys to complete the trip.

The Wilmington/Newark Line is operating with delays of 30 minutes. Trains will arrive and depart from the lower level at 30th Street Station, forcing commuters to switch trains to continue into downtown.

SEPTA says power line issues are causing delays of up to 30 minutes on its other regional rail lines.
