Locally Made And Produced Movie Gaining National Attention

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A movie made in the Delaware valley is getting some rave reviews nationally.

Slow Learners is a movie about two teachers who try to revamp their personalities in order to find love.

Although the characters may try to change themselves, a lot of the locations and landmarks in the film will be familiar to many local viewers.

"Eighty to Ninety percent of the film was shot in Media, Swarthmore and Ridley with the last bit shot in Philadelphia." says movie producer Jamie Lokoff. "The whole town was utilized. You see SEPTA, you see the media theater, you see everything and it looks great, it looks beautiful."

He says it's great to see their hard work recognized.

" We've been siked with the reviews we've gotten so far, we've got a tremendous review from the New York Times. We got a three out of four stars from the daily news in Philadelphia. We just had a sold out screening in Bryn Mawr.

Slow Learners got good feedback at the Tribeca Film Festival and is now available on multiple formats.
