Apple Unveils Latest Product Line Including Bigger iPad, Updated iPhone

By KYW tech editor Ian Bush

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) -- Apple is showing off its latest product line, including a big-screen iPad and updated iPhones.

The screen on the iPad Pro has a three-inch height advantage on its little brother:

"It's 12.9 inches on the diagonal."

Better for watching movies and playing games, says Apple's Phil Schiller. It's out in November, starting at $800. An extra Benjamin will get you a stylus called Apple Pencil:

"It feels like you're drawing directly on the display."

The new iPhones, the 6S and 6S Plus, look indistinguishable from their predecessors, but Apple's Jony Ive says it's what's under the screen that counts: apps now can respond to the force of your touch:

"Press lightly and it gives you a peek at the content. Continue pressing and it pops you into the content itself."

Your selfies get help from a flash -- actually, the front display that temporarily gets three times brighter.

The iPhone 6S starts at $200 and comes out on the 25th. But as usual, Apple's lowering the costs of its previous models that will suit many just fine.
