Barkley, Tebow Headline Tonight's Eagles-Jets Preseason Game

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles will wrap up what has been an impressive off-season tonight as they visit the New York Jets.

The Birds are 3-0 this summer and they have scored 115 points (38.3 per game) in the process. They have won the three games by an average margin of 20.7 ppg.

Just about all the players most responsible for those gaudy numbers will not be on the field tonight as this final preseason game will be a showcase for players on the back end of the roster trying to avoid the final cuts.

Matt Barkley will start at quarterback tonight, but we will also see plenty of Tim Tebow as they battle to win the third-string quarterback job behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.

One key player that is expected to get a few reps tonight is linebacker Kiko Alonso. He has yet to play in a game this summer after suffering a concussion and then dealing with a sore knee.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with 94WIP's Ray Didinger about what to look for in tonight's preseason finale for the Eagles.
