Officials Announce 2 Papal Parades Planned, More Event Tickets Will Be Made Available

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Organizers for the World Meeting of Families, the event bringing Pope Francis to Philadelphia later this month held a press conference to talk about access to papal events.

There will be no lottery, it will be done on a first come first serve basis -- 30,000 additional tickets will be made available to the public starting next Tuesday to the three papal public events -- 10,000 for Independence Hall, 10,000 for the Festival of Families and 10,000 for the mass.

"All of these additional ticket options will be online and it will be a maximum of four. Our technology teamis working on it right now," said Donna Crilley Farrell, Executive Director of the World Meeting of Families.

These tickets will be made available online at http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/ starting on Tuesday, September 8.

Also there two papal parades along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

One on Saturday leading up to the Festival of Families and the other on Sunday leading up to the mass.

"We just want to emphasize to everybody we want to try to make this as accessible and open as possible to everybody," said Farrell.
