Flyers To Open Training Camp On September 18

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers announced their plans for 2015 Training Camp on Thursday. The team will open camp on Friday, September 18 at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J.

61 players will report to camp for the Flyers.

The Flyers will start camp with three straight days on the ice that will be open to the public and free of charge.

These sessions will take place at 9:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day on the first three days of camp.

On September, 19, the Flyers will hold "Super Saturday," at camp. The first 250 fans to arrive will receive a Flyers t-shirt. Fans will also have an array of activities to take part in.

The Flyers begin preseason play on Monday, September 21 in a split-squad game with the Islanders. Half of the team will play against the Islanders in Brooklyn, while the rest of the squad will be in Allentown at the PPL Center.
