Phillies Look For Second Straight Win Against Mets Tonight
By Matt Leon
The Phillies unleashed a lot of frustration against the Mets last night, hammering New York, 14-8.
The win snapped a ten-game losing streak for the Phillies at the hands of the Mets, it also improved their record against New York this season to 2-13.
Tonight, the Phillies will try to make it two straight wins against New York as they give the ball to Aaron Nola. The rookie has been very good since his call-up from the minors. In eight starts, he has gone 5-1 with a 3.26 ERA. But he's been at his best in his last two starts. In wins over the Marlins and Padres, he has thrown 15 innings, allowing just a run on five hits.
The Mets counter with right-hander Matt Harvey. He is 11-7 this season with a 2.48 ERA. And the 26-year-old has given the Phillies fits in his brief career, putting together a 5-1 record and 1.99 ERA in seven starts against them.
Here is the lineup for the Phillies against Harvey:
1. LF Darnell Sweeney
2. 2B Cesar Hernandez
3. CF Odubel Herrera
4. 1B Ryan Howard
5. 3B Andres Blanco
6. RF Domonic Brown
7. C Cameron Rupp
8. SS Freddy Galvis
9. P Aaron Nola
