Man Killed In Bizarre West Philly Double Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police say one man is dead and another was injured following an unusual shooting Tuesday night in West Philadelphia.

This happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 62nd and Market Streets.

Police say officers responding to reports of gunfire found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

A 36-year-old man was also taken to the hospital after being shot in the hip. He is listed in stable condition.

Police say they found 21 spent shell casings and that three semi-automatic handguns were used.

Police are now looking for at least two shooters. There is no motive at this time.

Detectives are currently questioning witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses as an investigation continues.
