Want To Be A 2016 Phillies Ballgirl?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Phillies are on the lookout for next season's Ballgirls; now is your chance to apply. Fans have until Monday, September 28, to apply to be a Phillies Ballgirl, a program presented by Macy's.

This will be the only opportunity to become a Phillies Ballgirl for the 2016 season. Qualified candidates will represent the Phillies organization throughout the community, along with responsibilities on the field. Requirements include:

  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills with a positive, outgoing personality
  • Softball experience and knowledge of the game of baseball
  • Be punctual and reliable with a flexible schedule and availability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

 

How to Apply:

Please send a resume along with a 2 minute video (DVD, Youtube, etc.) demonstrating your softball skills and telling us why you think you would make a great Phillies Ballgirl no later than September 28, 2015 to ballgirls@phillies.com or as a hard copy with the subject line Ballgirl Applicant to Phillies, Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA  19148.

ABOUT THE PHILLIES BALLGIRLS PRESENTED BY MACY'S

The Phillies Ballgirls are ambassadors for the Phillies both on and off the field. They represent educated, athletic and energetic women who hope to serve as role models in professional sports for young girls.

Each year, the Phillies Ballgirls make over 150 off-field appearances including TV and radio as well as school visits, nursing home visits, golf and bowling tournaments and fashion shows. They also play a minimum of 10 softball games which all have a charity element.
