PSPCA, Uber Team Up To Deliver Puppy Play Dates

By Kim Glovas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Pennsylvania SPCA has come up with a unique way to get puppies in front of their forever owners.

The SPCA teamed up with Uber Thursday to bring puppies to workplaces. The SPCA's Liz Romaine explains it's $20 for a 15-minute visit:

"You can use the Uber app to get a puppy play date on demand."

She's expecting the Uber cars and their canine passengers will visit more than 100 offices before the pups are pooped. Romaine says the office workers have been very receptive to their visitors:

"All of them are animal lovers and they are just enjoying a break from their workday to enjoy a little puppy love. And the best thing about this is that all of the puppies are available for adoption."

Romaine says all of the fees for the puppy dates will be donated directly to the PSPCA and its operations on Erie Avenue.
