Parents Using 'Shuddle' App To Drive Students To And From School

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Imagine a stranger showing up to take your child to school.

Believe it or not, it is a real service that parents are signing up for called "Shuddle."

Using an app, parents schedule a pick up the day before.

The children must be eight-years-old or older and have their own cell phone.

Parents can monitor the ride in real time.

A pre-determined password is used between the driver and the child, who also see pictures of each other before the pickup.

Shuddle says their drivers have childcare experience and go through extensive background checks.
