12-Year-Old Boy Struck By Vehicle In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police say a 12-year-old boy was transported to Einstein Hospital on Wednesday night after being struck by a car in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

According to authorities, the incident took place just before 9:00 p.m. on the 100 block of West Sylvania Street.

Police say the boy suffered a head injury and there is no word at this time on the severity of his condition.

Authorities add that the driver of the vehicle did remain on the scene.
