Eagles And Ravens Are All Set For Preseason Showdown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles and Ravens have been working out together for the past three days. The two teams will have a more intense workout Saturday night.

The Eagles and Ravens will square off at the Linc for the second game of the preseason. The two teams went through joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday and also had a walk-through on Friday. All that remains is for the two teams to go head-to-head in game action and Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters is ready for the preseason match up after seeing the Ravens up close and personal throughout the week.

"You just pick up on little things that they do," said Peters. "They're learning us, we're learning them. Like I was telling some of the guys, don't give everything you've got away this week. Let it rip. We learned some stuff about them and they learned some things about us."

The Eagles may once again have a depleted linebacking corps. Kiko Alonso, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks will likely be game-time decisions, and Marcus Smith is out two to three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury on Thursday. However, Smith vows to return when the regular season gets underway.

"I'll definitely be out there in week one," Smith said. "I'm trying to get back out there for the last preseason game. That's what I want to do. It's two to three weeks, then we just go from there."

With Smith sidelined, Vinny Curry is seeing more time at outside linebacker. Curry insists he was seeing more outside linebacker work even before Smith's injury, but knows the coaches are trying to find different ways to get him on the field.

"That's just a credit to how hard we're working and how I can really help the team out the best way I can," said Curry. "I just have to keep working and go out there and just do my job correctly."

Saturday's game will likely mark the return of Sam Bradford. While Chip Kelly has yet to confirm who his starting quarterback will be, all signs point to Bradford being under center. After watching Bradford progress in practice, Peters is eager to see what Bradford can do in live game action.

"I'm looking forward to it," Peters said. "I know what the guy can do. It's all about doing it for us. I'm excited."

Kickoff on Saturday will be at 7pm.
