Lottery Ticket Worth $2 Million Sold In Chester County

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Did you buy a lottery ticket in Chester County on Wednesday? If so, this may be your lucky day.

The Pennsylvania Lottery says a winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million was sold at a fuel station in Thorndale, Chester County.

Officials say the ticket matched all five white balls, 06-08-43-48-50, but not the red Powerball, 07, to win $2 million.

It was sold with the $1 Power Play option, boosting the prize to $2 million instead of $1 million, officials say.

The Lottery says the retailer, 76, on the 3600 block of Lincoln Highway East, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Officials say the prize must be claimed and the winning ticket validated before the winner can be identified.

The Lottery says the holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery's seven area offices.
