Report: Fast Food Chains Serving Up Kids' Meals High In Salt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- New research reveals that fast food chains are serving up kids' meals that are dangerously high in salt.

The World Action On Salt & Health looked at chains like McDonalds, KFC and Subway in over 30 countries.

They found eight of ten meals contained over one gram of salt, which is more than what children under the age of six should eat in one sitting.

Eating too much salt has been linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, strokes and obesity in adults.
