Sprint's Delivery Anywhere Service Expands To Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's not a day at the spa, but a Wireless provider is transforming the cell phone buying experience.
Sprint's going way beyond the house call to deliver convenience to time-starved consumers. The innovative service has already rolled out in New York and D.C., and is now running in Philadelphia.
With "Direct 2 You," you call for an appointment, and within 24 hours you get your new cell phone and learn how to set it up for free, from wherever your are.
"Having somebody come to the lacrosse field, or the football field or the soccer field to save me time so I can still enjoy my family," is a huge help says Karen Paletta -- Sprint Vice President, Northeast Region.
Paletta could not tell us how many new customers Sprint has picked up since starting this new concierge-like service in April, but she's heard from current customers:
"They love the convenience and they love the forward-thinking."
She says it's a way to thank customers for their loyalty, and is aimed at gaining new customers.
