Caught On Camera: Man Shoves Wawa Employee, Steals Cigarettes After She Cards Him

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a female Wawa employee was shoved after she asked for identification from a customer asking for a carton of cigarettes.

Authorities say the suspect then stole four cartons of Newport cigarettes after pushing past two workers behind the counter.

Police say the incident occurred on July 30 around 12:15 a.m. at the Wawa in Burholme.

According to officials, after the 21-year-old employee asked for identification, the suspect walked behind the counter, shoved two employees and took multiple cartons of cigarettes.

Police say the suspect and female he was with fled the scene in an older dark colored Saturn, driven by a third person.

The vehicle was last seen headed north on Rockwell Avenue.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male, 5'10", with a thin build, missing all teeth. Police say he was wearing a black and red baseball cap with the letter "P" on the front, a black shirt with green print with the words "Got Bit" on the front and "Bite" on the back, dark colored shorts and was carrying a light blue book-bag.

Police the female he was with was a black woman, with a medium build, wearing a black shirt, dark colored shorts, white tube socks and sneakers.
