Police Discover Over 60 Bags Of Suspected Heroin In Pants Of 'Jaywalking' Suspect

ERIAL, NJ (CBS) – Police say a 37-year-old man was arrested after they found 64 bags of suspected heroin inside of his pants in Gloucester Township.

Authorities say in the morning of August 4, officers saw Joshua Mazzeo, of Camden, jaywalking in the area of Erial-Clementon Road.

Police approached Mazzeo and conducted a pedestrian stop. Authorities say during their investigation, they uncovered more than 60 bags of what they suspect to be heroin inside of Mazzeo's pants.

Officials say Mazzeo was taken into custody and transported to the Gloucester Township Police Department and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in default of $150,000 cash bail.

Police say Mazzeo is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute.
