SEPTA Extending Deadline To Pick Up 'Papal Passes'

By Kristen Johanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you won the lottery for a SEPTA Regional Rail Papal Pass, you now have some extra time to get them. The deadline has been extended until 3 p.m. Monday.

SEPTA says a number of lottery winners have not purchased their regional rail passes for the weekend of the Papal visit.

"We have had lower than expected individuals completing their transactions and so to encourage them to do so, and give them another opportunity, we are extending the deadline," SEPTA Spokeswoman Jerri Williams says/

If you don't buy your passes by 3 p.m. Monday, then you lose your spot in the lottery. After that, Williams says, the deadline passes:

"Then we are going to contact a second group of people to let them know that it is now their opportunity to complete their purchase."

Williams says if you have any trouble online, you should call SEPTA customer service for help.
