Papal Visit Traffic Restrictions Will Impact Many In City, Suburbs

By Tim Jimenez

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) - Traffic restrictions during the Papal Visit will affect those in Philadelphia and out in the suburbs.

Some, like Michelle, say the security measures are needed for the historic event:

"I think it's great, I really do. I think it's gonna bring a lot to the community, it's gonna bring a lot to Philadelphia."

She says it's gonna boost everyone's awareness of being kind to everybody.

Larry acknowledges the importance as well, but he lives in the Northeast and he says it will be a tricky time:

"If I have to travel to go somewhere, really have to get up earlier to go somewhere or just don't go. You're stuck outside Center City!"

He believes the mass should be at the Sports Complex:

"Why don't they have it at the stadium for the two days instead of closing most of the city down?"

So Larry says he probably won't leave the house:

"Two days I'll have to do housework. So, my wife has me trapped."

He joked that may be something he has to pray about.
