Brad Jones: Eagles Culture 'Same, If Not Better' Than Packers

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Brad Jones played his first six NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, one of the NFL's most successful teams over that time period, helping them to a Super Bowl in 2011.

Nevertheless, Jones, who was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, says the Eagles' culture and atmosphere is just as good as the Packers'---if not better.

"Honestly, the team cohesion is better," Jones said on Tuesday after practice via NJ.com. "Honestly. It's the same, if not better.

"Guys like each other. Everybody's focused on one goal. That's really the goal and key of every championship team. The closeness and cohesion of every team, if everyone can get together and say 'Let's win a championship,' that overtakes any skill. It overtakes anything."

Safety Malcolm Jenkins, who joined the Eagles during the 2014 offseason, won a Super Bowl in 2010 with the New Orleans Saints and echoed similar sentiment when he arrived in Philly last year.

However, ex-Eagle cornerback Brandon Boykin, after being traded to the Steelers on Saturday, criticized Eagles coach Chip Kelly. Boykin explained how Kelly was difficult to communicate with.

Current Eagles like Connor Barwin, Jason Kelce, Jenkins, and now Jones defended Kelly.
