Toy-maker Company To Sell "Cecil The Lion" Beanie Baby To Raise Funds For Animal Conservation
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Gone, but not forgotten.
Toy-maker Ty Inc. has created a "Cecil the Lion" beanie baby to raise funds for animal conservation efforts.
The creation of the toy comes after American dentist Walter Palmer was accused of killing the popular lion in Zimbabwe.
The company says all profits from the "Cecil the Lion" beanie baby sales will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of the University of Oxford in England.
The toy goes on sale at the end of September.
