DeMarco Murray And Jason Peters Among Top-Rated Madden 16 Players

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles fans that second as devoted video game players, should be happy so far with the player ratings that have been revealed for Madden 16. The latest installment of the franchise hits the shelves on August 25.

EA Sports has been releasing ratings by group and covered two positions featuring two of the Eagles top players, DeMarco Murray and Jason Peters.

Murray cracked the Top-5 rated running backs for the new game with a rating of 94. The only running backs rated higher than Murray were Marshawn Lynch (96) and Adrian Peterson (95).

Jamaal Charles and Le'Veon Bell also received 94 ratings.

The Eagles new running back joins the Top-5 list this year as the team's old running back exits. LeSean McCoy was the second highest rated running back on last year's game with a rating of 97 (tied with Jamaal Charles).

McCoy and Matt Forte were removed from last year's Top-5 to make room for Murray and Bell.

The Madden 16 Eagles will have a Top-5 lineman leading the way for their Top-5 back. Jason Peters was ranked as the third best offensive lineman in the game.

Peters received a rating of 96 and was edged out by only Josh Sitton (97) and Marshal Yanda (98). Peters, to his credit, is the highest rated tackle on the game.

Peters jumps into the Top-5 on this year's game as his now former teammate, Evan Mathis, falls to the bottom of the Top-5.

Mathis dropped into a tie for 5th with a 95 overall rating after being tied for second in the group last year with a 97.

Despite the respect he has received from the Madden makers, Mathis is still in search of an NFL team to play for since being released by the Eagles.
