Local Restaurateur Facing Child Porn Charge

By Kim Glovas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  A Philadelphia restaurant owner is charged with distributing child pornography, and he is now behind bars.

The US Attorney's office says Alex Capasso was arrested Monday at his Collingswood home after sending sexually explicit text messages and photos to an undercover agent.

Court documents show Capasso told the agent the five-year-old girl in the photos was the niece of an ex-girlfriend, and that the photos were taken a year ago.

Authorities say the girl was naked, and some parts of Capasso's body were included in those photos. Capasso also allegedly told the agent in text exchanges that he looked forward to sexually abusing his soon-to-be born daughter and described what he would do.

The investigation showed Capasso's girlfriend is 6 months pregnant.

Federal agents found over 30 child pornography images of the same girl on electronic devices in Capasso's Coillingswood home. They also found video of her at a dance recital and family get-togethers.

He is charged with one count of distribution of child pornography.

"It's hitting us hard. Now we're just going to band together and continue doing what we're doing," said Capasso's business partner Michael Franco.
