Philadelphia Launches New Online Block Party Application
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Looking to host a block party? The Philadelphia Streets Department is changing the application process to make it easier for citizens who want to celebrate in their community.
Philadelphia Streets Commissioner David J. Perri announced on Tuesday that a new Block Party Permit Online Application page would be available for residents interested in having a block party.
The days of going down to the Municipal Services Building and waiting in a line are over as the new online form will allow residents to pay online, submit the petition online and receive their permit through email.
"The Streets Department is constantly exploring innovative approaches to improve our services to make them more user-friendly for citizens," Perri said. "Applying for a Block Party permit is now a one-stop process for residents to use from the convenience of their homes."
