Community Comes Together To Remember Drexel Graduate

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A community came together Monday night to remember a Drexel University graduate murdered last week.
"Heaven got another angel," said a friend.
For friends the pain is still very real. Dozens lit candles and released balloons Monday night.
In church with prayer and song, through hugs and tears, a community remembered 27-year-old Jasmine Wright at a special service at Monument Baptist Church. Across the street, Jasmine's third floor apartment, where police say she was found last week.
Jasmine had just graduated from Drexel's Public Health graduate program with a master's degree. Friends say she dedicated her life to making the world a better place.
"She always had a kind heart and she loved God. And any time you had a conversation with her, it was always deep and profound," said a classmate.
"We really became a family and she was an integral member of our family and we're still shocked by the loss," said another classmate.
Police say a person of interest in Wright's death is in custody -- for an unrelated burglary.
