Live Aid Marks Its 30th Anniversary

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Today marks 30 years since the Live Aid concert. The dual-venue event brought 100,000 people to JFK Stadium in Philadelphia and more than 70,000 to London's Wembley Stadium. It was watched by billions across the globe.
The concert featured some of the world's most famous musical acts -- Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner and Madonna are just some of the artists who took to the stage at JFK in the 95-degree heat.
Angela Beatty was there and was 14 at the time.
"What I remember was that my favorite band Duran Duran was performing that night, so I waited all day in the heat."
Phil Collins was the only artist to perform at both concerts, taking the Concorde from London to the U.S.
Live Aid was organized by Bob Geldolf to raise money for Ethiopian famine.
