Police Trying To ID Victim Of Fatal North Philadelphia Hit-Run Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a fatal hit and run at 2nd and Erie in North Philadelphia that happened Sunday afternoon.

The male biker was struck by a female driver as she attempted to change lanes and pass another vehicle. The woman then went into the wrong lane and hit the biker.

The driver then fled the scene, but was taken into police custody at 7th & Atlantic in North Philadelphia.

The biker was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are now trying to identify the victim, who had no identification on him. He is described as a black male who is approximately 20 years old, 5'9" and 153 lbs. The man was wearing a blue Nike t-shirt with bright yellow lettering and gray fleece sweatpants. He has multiple tattoos on both biceps and was carrying a pink and black backpack and riding a gray Huffy mountain bike.
