Report: Jason Pierre-Paul Has Injured Finger Amputated

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul had a finger amputated on Wednesday stemming from a recent accident that occurred with fireworks.

The 26-year-old is a key piece of the Giants defense and is currently not under contract with the team.

Pierre-Paul was franchised by the Giants in March and has yet to sign his $14.8 million franchise tender.

Pierre-Paul and the Giants were working on a long-term deal before this incident occurred, but the Giants offer was reportedly rescinded following the injury.
