DeMarco Murray Ranked 4th Best Player In The NFL

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The NFL Network wrapped up their series of the Top 100 players in the NFL on Wednesday night. Coming in at No. 4 on the list was new Eagles running back DeMarco Murray.

Last year's rushing champ came over from the Cowboys in free agency this off-season and fans are hoping the workload from last season will not have a negative impact on Murray.

Murray was the Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 and rushed for 1,845 yards rushing. Murray had 12 100-yard rushing performances which was good for the second most in league history.

His 13 rushing touchdowns were good for a tie for the league lead. Murray was 87th on last year's Top 100 list.

"If you're chasing him backside, you better be ready," said Murray's new teammate Connor Barwin during the NFL Network's special. "I remember we had about a 300+ lbs D-lineman chasing him, kind of wasn't exactly ready and DeMarco put his foot in the ground, got north and the lineman just got...I mean, just flat on his back."

Below is the play Barwin is describing:
