Sixers Announce The Signing Of Jahlil Okafor

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Tuesday, the Sixers announced that they have signed their top pick, Jahlil Okafor. The deal was announced one day after Okafor had an impressive performance in his Summer League debut with the team.
Okafor scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to go along with two blocks on Monday night.
The third overall pick out of Duke is coming off a National Championship season as a freshman. Okafor helped the Blue Devils go 35-4 in his lone season and Sixers fans are hoping his arrival in town will signify more winning in the team's future.
Okafor was a First-Team All American and finished the season with averages of 17.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 blocks. His impressive season landed him the 2015 ACC Player of the Year Award. He was also a finalist for both the Wooden and Naismith National Player of the Year awards.
