Cooler Start, Beautiful Finish To Monday

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With how cool Monday morning's temperatures are, you might get confused about what season it is.

Yes, it is still summer! But it certainly doesn't feel like the end of June this morning. Temps are only in the upper 50s and low 60s, a crisp and cool morning for sure. Humidity levels remain low as well, which will allow it to feel comfortable for the entire day.

After a weekend of highs stuck only in the 70s, daytime highs will eventually warm into the low 80s in Philadelphia. While skies will be mostly sunny, there will be more clouds up north into the Lehigh Valley and Poconos. It will however be a great day to catch some rays at the shore, although not the warmest of beach days.

Temperatures will continue to climb through the week, but so too will the chance of precipitation. Monday will be the only guaranteed dry day. A series of fronts will move through this week, and while no day will be a washout, each will come with a scattered shower or thunderstorm.
