Sun Disappearing For Awhile

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It is another quiet and comfortable morning across the Delaware Valley. Soak up as much sun as you can get early on today, you might not see much of it again for several days.

The sun will be out in full force early on, but will give way to clouds later this afternoon. We expect to reach 85° in Philadelphia today, the average high for this time of year. Heading into later this evening, there will be some showers and thunderstorms moving in. The greatest threat for any storms will be to the south and west of the city, especially down in Delaware. Clouds and showers will linger through the night and into tomorrow.

The sky will try to brighten tomorrow afternoon, but any sun that breaks through will be limited. Things will head further downhill into the weekend, with rain and breezy conditions on Saturday. It will also be much cooler, with highs only in the low to mid 70s.

The showers and cool temperatures will also stick around on Sunday.
