Bats Look To Stay Hot For Phillies Tonight Against Sabathia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies will try to make it three straight wins tonight as they continue their series in New York against the Yankees.

Last night, for a second straight game, the Phillies were sharp at the plate as they pounded out 18 hits en route to an 11-8 win in the series opener against the Yankees. It was another big night for third baseman Maikel Franco as he went 4-5 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored and five runs batted in.

The Phillies have scored 20 runs, total, in their last two games. That represents 8.7% (20 of 231) of their total runs for the season to this point (72 games).

Sean O'Sullivan gets the start tonight for the Phillies on the mound. The right-hander is 1-5 this season in 10 starts with a 4.79 ERA. Got a no-decision in his last start, but pitched well, allowing just a single run in five innings against the Orioles. O'Sullivan has been remarkably consistent this season when you consider he has pitched at least five inning in every one of his 10 starts. But he also has not pitched more than six innings in any start.

The Yankees counter on the bump with left-hander CC Sabathia who is 3-7 with a 5.31 ERA this season.

Here is the lineup that will be facing Sabathia - note the night off for the .179-hitting Chase Utley:

1. CF Ben Revere
2. 2B Cesar Hernandez
3. 1B Maikel Franco
4. DH Ryan Howard
5. LF Jeff Francoeur
6. RF Domonic Brown
7. 3B Andres Blanco
8. C Cameron Rupp
9. SS Freddy Galvis
