Tall Ships 2015: Pride of Baltimore And Lynx
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pride of Baltimore and Lynx evoke the high seas drama of revolutionary war privateers. They were engaged in legally sanctioned piracy against enemy shipping and their crews kept the loot.
John Brady, President of the Independence Seaport Museum explained.
"You could get a Letter of Marque, which was basically permission from the government to go out and be pirates."
They're sleek and fast, and a visual feast.
The Tall Ships Festival will take place on the Delaware River between Philadelphia and Camden from June 25-28.
