Teen Who Went Missing In Chestnut Hill Found Safe

CHESTNUT HILL, Pa. (CBS) – A 17-year-old girl who went missing in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia has been found safe.

Sarah Wills was last seen around 8 p.m.Wednesday in the wooded area near Germantown Avenue and Cresheim Valley Road. After an all-night search, police found her curled up, sleeping under a tree in the woods just before 7 a.m.

Police say Wills was coming home from a concert with her father Wednesday and went into the woods to relieve herself. When she did not return, her father went looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found. He got concerned and called 9-1-1. She had left her cell phone in the car.

Police say Wills' purse and other personal items were found while she was missing. This was initially investigated as a possible abduction, but police say no foul play was involved.

Wills lives in Upper Dublin, five miles away from where she went missing. After coming out of the woods eleven hours after she was last seen and into the arms of her family, she was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Detective Jimmy Sloan, who found Wills, is the same person who found 22-year old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither in Maryland three days after she had been abducted off a Philadelphia Street last year.
