Local Man Hosting Philly Bike Share Meetup For Instagrammers

By Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local man has combined his love for Philadelphia, bikes and Instagram into one event and is looking for people to join him next Saturday.

Albert Lee is a lover of all things Philly and his Instagram account showcases that love in the form of photos and videos.

He's hosting an "InstaMeet" which is basically a meetup for Instagrammers Saturday, June 13th, but this one has a twist.

"I thought here's a chance to really showcase how bike friendly the city is and show off how beautiful Philadelphia is by bike"

So, he partnered with Ride Indego for the first ever PHL Bike Share Meet.

"People will grab a bike from one of 70 different stations and have two hours to explore an area of Philadelphia, and at noon do a big group shot on the steps of the Art Museum."

The top three photos selected by the Ride Indego team will all receive a weekend of unlimited riding.

"I've learned one great thing about Instagrammers is that we find beauty in things not everyone does, so we seek it out and I think that being on a bike you're able to seek it out even quicker."

The official hashtag for the event is #PHLBIKESHAREMEET.
