Authorities: $5K Reward Offered In Berlin Township Fatal Stabbing

BERLIN Twp., N.J., (CBS) -- Authorities have announced the U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of a Berlin Township man who they say is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of a woman Wednesday night.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says 45-year-old Michael Eitel has been sought by the U.S. Marshals Service and local authorities since Thursday when a warrant for his arrest was issued. Authorities say Eitel is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Carol Bowne.

According to authorities, Bowne was found in the driveway of her home on Patton Avenue on Wednesday night, with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.

Authorities say Eitel is to be considered armed and extremely dangerous and should not be approached by the general public.

Eitel stands approximately 6-foot-3 and weighs about 265 pounds, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities at (856) 964-4759 or call 911.
