Poll: Who Is The Greatest Living Philly Athlete?
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Brian Dawkins is the greatest living Philadelphia Eagle and it's not even close.
As discovered by PhillyVoice.com's Matt Mullin, 68-percent of fans chose Dawkins as the best living Eagle, while Donovan McNabb came in second at just eight-percent.
"I'm not surprised," Mullin told Michael Barkann and Ike Reese Tuesday on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show. "Going into it I was like, Dawkins is gonna win this hands down. He may not be the best player, although you can make the argument that he is, but it's a combination of being one of the best---if not the best---and the passion and the way he fired up and just related with the fans on the level that very few have in this town."

Now that we put a stamp on Dawkins being the greatest living Eagle, let's decide on the number one overall living athlete in Philadelphia.
Barkann and Reese asked callers and listeners, on the heels of Mullin's article, "Who is the greatest living Philadelphia athlete?"
The choices on the Audio Roadshow poll question were Julius Erving, Bernie Parent, Mike Schmidt, and the aforementioned Dawkins.
Barkann (best to worst): Schmidt, Erving, Parent, Dawkins
Reese: Erving, Schmidt, Parent, Dawkins
Mullin: Erving, Schmidt, Dawkins, Parent
"Yeah that hurt me to do that," Reese said of ranking Dawkins, his former teammate, fourth.
"Three-time MVP, World Series champion, and how many time All-Star for goodness sake," Barkann said of Schmidt, his top choice. "My gosh!"
"I love Bernie, I love the Flyers. He was before my time," Mullin said, explaining why he chose Dawkins over Parent. "Dawkins was my adolescence growing up."
