Mychal Kendricks Would Like To Remain With Eagles, But Unsure Of Future

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mychal Kendricks met with members of the media at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday and addressed the off-season and his future in Philadelphia. The team addressed the inside linebacker position three times in the off-season and it appeared that Kendricks could be the odd man out.

His name popped up in trade rumors on several occasions and his earlier absence from voluntary team activities caused some speculation.

Kendricks made it clear that he likes being an Eagle and would like to remain an Eagle, but understands that this is a business.

"I can't control whatever happens here. I like Philly," Kendricks said. I'd like to finish where I started."

Kendricks added that he has not discussed a contract extension with the Eagles at this point.

One of the main reasons for the rumors surrounding Kendricks was the addition of Kiko Alonso coupled with the team's decision to keep veteran DeMeco Ryans.

Kendricks addressed the possibility of all three of the linebackers sharing the football field at the same time.

"It's a possibility," Kendricks said citing the team's versatile defense.
