Positively Philadelphia: Philadelphia Hospitality Open House 2015

By Lauren Lipton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Hospitality's open house 2015 tours offer unique opportunities to explore Philadelphia's many treasures.

How about a candlelight walking tour of French architecture in Old City? Dinner with a well-known chef? An inside tour of many of our gardens and museums?

Join Joe Becton on a guided tour of 6th Street, the Avenue to Freedom, where he weaves stories, history and music together. (He even plays the harmonica to accompany a story about one of Philadelphia's famous musicians.)

"That song was written by Francis Johnson of Philadelphia. I call him the Michael Jackson of the 1830's." said Becton. "People say I live in the past. Maybe I do, but I really feel understanding our past will make us better understand who we are today."

The program begins June 8th. Philadelphia Open House Tours is put on by Philadelphia Hospitality whose mission is to promote Philadelphia as a world-class destination.
