SBR Odds: Eagles Over/Under Set At 9.5

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- 10. That's the number of games the Eagles have won each of the last two seasons under Chip Kelly.

However, last year, 10 wins wasn't enough for Kelly's Eagles to earn a playoff birth and so, numerous roster moves were made. Nevertheless, according to SportsbookReview.com, the Eagles over/under win total is set at 9.5 tied atop the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys.

In fact, the NFC East is the only NFL division with multiple 9.5 over/under win total teams.

However, analysts are skeptical of the Eagles and are taking the under.

"Although the schedule for the Eagles ranks lower than it did last year, the difference in the winning percentage between the two schedules is nominal: a difference of 0.004 to make it a moot point," writes SBR betting analyst Nikki Adams. "The Eagles went 10-4-0 SU (straight up) last season to finish second in the NFC East but miss the playoffs. There are many uncertainties about the Eagles going into this season namely because Chip Kelly axed a significant chunk of the roster. Now, with the season hanging in the balance of the often-injured Sam Bradford and a remodeled team, we feel the 9.5 chalk line is way too high. We're projecting a 9-7 win season at best."
