Family Escapes House Fire In Voorhees

VOORHEES, N.J. (CBS) - Officials say six fire companies showed up to battle a blaze at a home in Voorhees, New Jersey late Thursday night.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. at the house on the unit block of Hidden Acre Drive.

Four people inside the home at the time were able to escape safely, according to officials.

Firefighters say they had difficulty reaching the flames:

"Had a little difficulty with some of the water pressure from the hydrants coming up the hill, but for the most part everything went as smooth as it can be," says Deputy Chief Curt Nagle with the Voorhees Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
