A Dry And Comfortable End To The Week: Do Changes Loom for Your Weekend?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As we begin the third week in May, we will once again stay dry. That makes a deficit of 1.56" of rainfall for the month. It isn't cause for concern just yet, but parts of the region are now classified as abnormally dry.
Friday will feature intervals of clouds and sun, and temperatures will remain comfortably warm in the low to mid 70s.
Saturday and Sunday will offer a different story. As clouds increase tonight, showers will return to the picture. The threat for rain will exist all weekend, but we do not expect a washout. With how arid it has been, any precipitation will be a welcome sight for both plants and allergy sufferers. However, showers will be scattered, so not everyone will receive a soaking rain. Cancelling outdoor plans isn't necessary. If you plan on checking out the WOGL car show tomorrow or perhaps the Stotesbury Regatta, just keep an eye to the sky, and make sure to check the radar on your CBS3 weather app before you head out the door.
The other headline for the weekend will be above average heat returning to the Delaware Valley. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s both days, about 10 degrees higher than normal. Coupled with higher humidity, it will feel much like summer.
