NBA Announces 2015 NBA Draft Combine Participants

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The NBA announced the list of players that will take part in the 2015 NBA Draft Combine. This year's combine will feature the usual combine drills and will also feature a 5-on-5 portion that will allow NBA teams to see the players play against the best competition in the draft.

A number of big name players like Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor will not be in attendance. The same can be said for highly regarded prospect Emmanuel Mudiay. The three of them are widely viewed as top-4 picks and the other name in the group, D'Angelo Russell, will be participating in the combine.

With the Sixers currently slotted into the third pick in the draft, it would be wise for fans to keep an eye on Russell. The Ohio State product possesses a lot of the traits that the Sixers are looking for in a floor general.

The other potential picks in that range may not be in attendance, but expect them all to visit the Sixers at some point during the pre-draft process. If the Sixers wind up getting one of the other picks that they could acquire in the draft lottery (Lakers and Heat) there will be a lot of players in the combine that could end up being on their radar.

Below is the full list of participants. The combine will take place May 12-17 in Chicago.
