NJ Man Accused Of Assaulting Guards While Getting OUT Of Jail

HAMILTON, Pa. (AP) -- A New Jersey man is back behind bars after authorities say he punched two guards while being released from a Pennsylvania jail.

Authorities have charged 43-year-old Sirbio Sanchez of Union City, New Jersey, with aggravated assault, aggravated assault on a corrections officer and other counts.

State police said in a statement Sanchez was leaving the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Hamilton when he punched the officers.

The officers sustained minor injuries.
